25 m3 Semi-Trailer Vacuum Tank with VTP3600 Liquid Ring Pump: Configuration Guide

A 25 m3 semi-trailer vacuum tank is not built for short, light collection rounds. It is a larger working unit for operators who need to collect, move and discharge substantial volumes of sludge or wastewater material from one site.

This reference configuration combines a 25 m3 Q235 carbon steel tank with a VTP3600 heavy-duty liquid ring vacuum pump. It is intended for municipal sewage sludge, industrial sedimentation sludge, drainage ditches, sewage ponds and other non-hazardous material. The final build should always be checked against the material being handled and the regulations at the destination.

Where a 25 m3 semi-trailer vacuum tank makes sense

The benefit of a semi-trailer layout is working capacity. It suits projects where the crew is sent to a sludge pond, a drainage channel, an industrial site or a municipal cleaning job and needs to remove a meaningful volume before returning to discharge.

That does not mean that the largest tank is automatically the best choice. Access roads, the available tractor unit, legal axle loads, discharge arrangements and the nature of the collected material all matter. A buyer collecting thick sediment intermittently may need a different setup from one moving mainly liquid sewage every day.

Tank body and trailer configuration

The reference 25 m3 semi-trailer vacuum tank uses an 8 mm Q235 carbon steel sludge tank. Internal baffles and external reinforcement hoops support the tank body during transport and operation. The design pressure is listed as 0.05 bar positive pressure and -1 bar vacuum.

  • 25 m3 sludge tank with a separate 1 m3 clean-water tank
  • 9,500 x 1,900 mm tank dimensions; overall equipment dimensions of 11,800 x 2,500 x 3,980 mm
  • Hydraulic rear-door opening, with manual rotary locking and a maximum opening angle of 60 degrees
  • Two top loading ports, a DN100 stainless steel material inlet and a DN150 stainless steel discharge port
  • Mechanical suspension, three Fuhua 13-ton axles and a 90# towing pin
  • Side-mounted stainless steel toolboxes, rear viewing window and three visible liquid-level indicators

Carbon steel is a practical choice for many sewage and sludge duties, particularly when the material is non-corrosive and the tank receives suitable internal anti-corrosion treatment. It is not a blanket answer for every medium. Where the material is especially corrosive, abrasive or chemically unknown, tank material and lining need to be confirmed before production.

What the VTP3600 liquid ring vacuum pump does

The VTP3600 is a heavy-duty liquid ring vacuum pump specified at 3,200 m3/h airflow and a stated vacuum level of 93%. Its job is to create the negative pressure that draws material through the suction hose and into the tank.

In plain terms, this is the working heart of the suction system. But pump size is only one part of real performance. Hose diameter, hose length, material viscosity, the vertical lift, leaks in the line and the condition of the filters will all affect how the unit performs on site.

The reference system also includes a metal filter, a vacuum relief valve set at -80 kPa, an overpressure safety valve and a two-stage cyclone overflow-prevention valve. These components are there to protect the pump and reduce the risk of liquid reaching places it should not. The tank also has an overflow valve and internal wave-dampening baffles.

This is a liquid ring vacuum system. It should not be confused with a wastewater-recycling system: its main purpose is suction, not treatment and reuse of recovered water for high-pressure sewer jetting.

The onboard cleaning system: useful support, not the main job

Alongside the suction equipment, the configuration includes a GTM GE25 high-pressure pump rated at 50 L/min and 150 bar. It has a 15 m automatic hose-layout device and an adjustable water jet from 0 to 45 degrees.

This can be useful for washdown and supporting cleaning work around the job site. Buyers who need a dedicated, high-output sewer jetting unit should compare required hose length, pressure and especially flow rate before treating this auxiliary system as their primary cleaning tool.

Points to confirm before ordering

  1. Material to be collected: sewage, pond sludge, industrial sediment or another non-hazardous material. This affects the tank material, lining and filtration arrangement.
  2. Suction route: expected hose length, vertical lift and whether the material is mostly liquid or contains heavier solids.
  3. Tractor and road limits: tractor specification, coupling standard, axle-load regulations and road conditions in the destination market.
  4. Discharge method: gravity discharge through the DN150 outlet, rear-door unloading or another site-specific requirement.
  5. Climate and operating conditions: the reference configuration is listed for -10 C to +50 C. Local conditions may call for different protection or operating arrangements.
  6. Cleaning requirement: whether the supplied 150 bar / 50 L/min system is enough, or whether a separate high-pressure jetting configuration is needed.

A reference configuration, not a one-size-fits-all promise

This 25 m3 semi-trailer vacuum tank is a useful starting point for operators needing substantial sludge-handling capacity with a VTP3600 liquid ring vacuum system. It gives a clear base for discussing the tank body, suction equipment, safety protection and cleaning support equipment.

FAQ

Is the VTP3600 system a wastewater-recycling system?

No. The VTP3600 is a liquid ring vacuum pump used to create suction for collecting material into the tank. A wastewater-recycling system has a separate treatment and reuse function.

Is a carbon steel vacuum tank suitable for every sludge application?

No. It can be suitable for many non-corrosive sewage and sludge duties, particularly with the appropriate anti-corrosion treatment. Corrosive or uncertain media should be reviewed before the tank material is selected.

Can this semi trailer be used as a full sewer jetting unit?

It includes a 150 bar, 50 L/min auxiliary cleaning system. Whether that is sufficient depends on the cleaning job. Buyers needing high-output sewer jetting should confirm the required flow, pressure, hose length and nozzle arrangement separately.
